the basics when registering, please pick a unique name, we don't need five hundred jessica's or matthew's running around, register with your characters first and last name in uppercase letters.
as popular as they are, this is not a no-app site. please. as if a decent literate roleplay would have no app. how are we meant to know anything about your character or roleplaying ability? make sure to fill out the application completely and post it in the relevant forum. (to know which is the right one, please read the descriptions!) this is to help us understand your character, and you. if you have a short application we reserve the right to deny your character. if you post a long application and sample and then can't give us a decent sized post, we will know you are either lazy or your application was all copied and pasted.
characters && posting no one is perfect, please. do not try and kid us by creating a perfect character. if your character doesn't have at least one flaw, they won't be accepted. people have problems, they aren't all fantastic looking even celebrities are airbrushed! so bring on the flaws, give us problems, fears, issues, anything. but of course no going the complete opposite 'woe is me, my life sucks i'm so emo *wrist cut*'. just. no.
no godmoding or power playing, you can't control someone else, so don't try to. ok? on that note, keep your posts in third person past tense. no 'i did this' no, that's first person, 'you do this' is second person, 'they did this' is what we want, third person. second and first person is allowed in journals and letters, just not in in character posts on the forums.
we like paragraphs, please, no one liners or paragraphs that are only two lines. paragraphs are more than one line long, usually people make limits like at least ten sentences per paragraph. we aren't going to do that, but you have to post decent length paragraphs at least. you don't have to write a novel, just please try and write something to which people can reply to. there is no point writing ten paragraphs if there is no interaction between characters. there's no point writing two paragraphs of just interaction because chances are you're godmoding there darlings.

graphics graphics should not be offensive. so no porn. please. if you use something someone else made, please make sure to credit them. it's horrid having graphics stolen. signatures shouldn't have graphics wider than 500 pixels, it will stretch the boards and admins will kill you delete your signature entirely. don't request in the c-box, it's hideous. seriously. if you need help, we have a graphics forum for that.
if your favourite playby is already taken, sorry, but we aren't going to tell someone else that they can't play them, pick someone else, it's not like there aren't hundreds of people you can use. if you need help picking a playby you can ask in the c-box.
c-box rules no plotting in the c-box, it's ok to go 'tagged' or whatever, but no full on plotting we have a forum for that! try to spell correctly, it's annoying to have to decipher things. put ‘rules phrase goes here’ in the right spot on the profile. be nice. if you are rude we might block your ip address. or something.
and it's over, almost don't be annoying, be patient with use and we will be with you, not all of us can be online every second of every day. keep that in mind. if you post a graphics request or something, do not keep bugging people to fill it. it takes time and well, people have lives. ok?
this site is a mature site. that means that it won't just stop at hugging and kissing. please people if you do wish to go past this, post a warning in the thread title or first post. if you don't, your topic will be closed and made so you can't post until you contact an admin about it. and everyone else, do not complain about this. we are stating it now that this site is rated m+ for mature audiences.
respect the admins and mods, we work hard to keep this site and don't want you to go around stealing and trashing our work. please please please don't steal anything. we all work hard and we do not deserve to have things stolen from us.
if you need to contact an admin or a mod, you can find one by looking for a name in italics. you'll probably have more luck pming in character accounts rather than the actual admin accounts so try that?
